When to Scout

Scout is a repair and flexibility tool. It is strongest when your current hand blocks several important builds, or when wild-card flexibility is worth more than the cards you discard. Officially, you cannot Scout if you already have a wild card in hand.

Watch out: Scout too early and you may waste flexibility; Scout too late and the board space you needed may already be gone.
